An Established Traditional-Orthodox Synagogue

The Swan Lake Synagogue, located in the famous New York State Catskill Mountains, is an Orthodox Synagogue that operates seasonally from Passover to Simchat Torah. The Synagogue was Chartered in 1923 and built in 1924, led by the local hotel owners in the area. During the summer, the Synagogue is open for services seven days a week. All other times, off-season and winter, on Yom Tovim and Shabbos the Synagogue is open based on demand. Please contact us for more information about the off summer time season and for membership information.

We primarily use the Artscroll Sefard Siddurim and Machzorim, but there is a limited selection of older and alternative prayer books available.

Our Community

Based in Sullivan County, Swan Lake, NY our community has an operational Eruv around our community and Synagogue and is inspected weekly all year to ensure it is operational. Green and red signal lights are located near the second floor front of building to the right. Green light will be on by Friday if the Eruv has been checked and is operational. For more information on the Eruv please check their website.
